Scientific Symposium Photon-counting CT – Status evaluation after 1 year of clinical routine

In collaboration with Siemens Healthineers
Thursday 30 March 2023 ▪ Provinciehuis Leuven ▪ 13:00 – 19:30

Prof. Dr. Chantal Van Ongeval and the UZ Leuven Medical Imaging department have the pleasure to invite you to the first symposium addressing photon-counting CT technology.

In 2021, NAETOM Alpha started to redefine CT. The FDA called it the “first major imaging device advancement for computed tomography in nearly a decade”. UZ Leuven was one of the first hospitals worldwide to install this unique CT with Quantum Technology. Today, the world’s first photon-counting CT is already being used in clinical routine in more than 50 locations around the world.

After one year of clinical routine usage within different disciplines, we can start making first evaluations. Is photon-counting technology changing the game in medical imaging? Let’s ask national and international clinical experts about their first experiences and find out on Thursday 30th March!
