Frequently Asked Questions
No, this new website completely replaces the previous site. However, it aims to contain all previous material included in the previous version. Nevertheless, despite our precautions, some items may have been lost in translation. Furthermore, the calendar of events will be further updated in the days to come. If you still are missing something, please contact us.
We're very sorry to hear this! This is probably due to the fact that selected contact details in our database may have not been recently updated and may not reflect your current situation. We went to great lengths to reach the largest amount of colleagues, combining all of our historical records in one new database. However, there is no way to have a quality check of our data without your cooperation.
Please reach us at membership@bsr-web.be and we will do our very best to assist you.
In short, no. As we aim for this website to reach as many people as possible in Belgium but also abroad, we opted to make English the default language of this new BSR website. However, when appropriate, Dutch- and French-language documents and text will be provided (e.g. directives from the government and other official matters).
Yes. More specifically, it is the only way that you can become BSR member or renew your existing membership. By doing this, you can update your personal information and contact details,. As such you remain always informed about our activities, and we can easily contact you when necessary.
Membership starts after both payment and registration have been completed and is valid:
- until the end of the current calendar year when payment is performed before or on the day of the annual symposium;
- until the end of the next calendar year when payment is performed between the day after the annual symposium and December, 31th at midnight;
— this for the purpose of maintaining synchronisation with ESR memberships.
Yes, you can. During registration, we provide you several popular secure online platforms to process your payment. After receiving your payment, an electronic invoice will be at your disposal in your personal member account.
Yes, but it functions differently compared to previous years. You can contact us at info@bsr-web.be for more information. Group discounts are offered depending on the number of purchased registrations.
The different ESR subspecialty societyies differ vastly in the way they process registrations. Therefore, it requires a complex administration which would add at this moment in time an unnecessary layer of complexity. We will however reevaluate this topic once our website has passed its initial stage.
Nevertheless, the automatic linking of BSR membership with ESR membership is not affected, and remains an active service of the BSR to its members. This is an automatic process which does not require an intervention from a BSR user.
At this time, we unfortunately do not offer the possibility to subscribe for RadPrimer as a senior radiologist. This offer stands for residents only. It is however possible to register for an individual subscription on Radprimer (499 UDS/year). You can find the subscription on https://www.radprimer.com/pricing/.
Yes, you can. Every year around February/March, an email is sent to all radiology residents who are a member of the BSR to subscribe for Imaios, RadPrimer or both at a reduced price. For now, Imaios is free and a reduced price for RadPrimer is determined every year in consultation with our correspondent at Elsevier.
Unfortunately, at this time, it is only possible to benefit from this reduction when you subscribe at the time of the mailing in February/March.
Radiology residents who are not registered as BSR members cannot subscribe for these benefits.
