Virtual Prostate MRI Course
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This expert-led workshop is designed for radiologists seeking to sharpen their prostate MRI interpretation skills through hands-on, real-case learning. Over four weeks, participants will work with DICOM viewers — just as in daily clinical practice — and receive expert feedback with integrated pathological correlation. The course includes interactive webinars, concise practical theory sessions, DICOM cases, guided discussions, and clinical insights, all delivered via the Quodemy platform.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Confidently apply the latest standardized scoring systems: PI-QUAL v2 for technical protocol optimization, PI-RADS v2.1 for detection of clinically significant prostate carcinoma, PRECISE v2 (2024) for active surveillance, and PI-RR (2021) for assessment of recurrence.
- Recognize common pitfalls and interpretation errors in prostate MRI.
- Understand the evolving role of AI in the diagnosis of prostate carcinoma.
- Correlate imaging findings with clinical data and histopathology.
- Apply structured diagnostic reasoning to real DICOM cases.
- Produce radiology reports in accordance with international guidelines.
MODALITY
This fully online course is designed with a practical focus. We will review real prostate MR clinical cases, with emphasis on PI-QUAL v2, PI-RADS v2.1, common diagnostic pitfalls, active surveillance (PRECISE v2 score) and recurrence (PI-RR). The course will also explore the practical integration of AI tools in daily radiological practice.
4 WEBINARS
This will be a synchronous activity (optative) in which prostate MR studies will be analyzed using a DICOM viewer. Students will actively participate through a voting system and real-time discussions with expert faculty. All sessions will be recorded and accessible for up to one month after the end of the course.
40 CLINICAL CASES
Cases will be available online according to the scheduled calendar and can be reviewed flexibly at the student´s convenience. Each case will be presented in DICOM format, mirroring real-world clinical practice. The student will work through each case and, after submitting their response, will receive the instructor's explanation along with the anatomopathological confirmation.
THEORY CAPSULES
Brief, pre-recorded lectures focused on practical applications.
FORUM
A dedicated forum will be available for students to discuss their questions and doubts regarding the course content and clinical cases.
