Who Are We ?

Young Radiologist Section

The "Young Radiologist Section", or "YRS", is one of the vital sections of the Belgian Society of Radiology, created by and for residents and recently certified radiologists. Our purpose is clear: build a vibrant community of young radiologists across Belgium and connect them with each other and the BSR.
We achieve this through three core objectives: providing education opportunities, organizing the annual scientific symposium and creating network events, encompassing both radiology-related and non-radiology-related activities.

Our vision is to forge a unified community of young radiologists within Belgium, one that leads the charge in both education and innovation. We aspire to elevate Belgian radiology to a European benchmark of excellence.

To realize this vision, we are dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community, encouraging collaboration, and nurturing professional development among our members. We unite our ranks to protect and advance our profession. Furthermore, we are committed to enhancing radiology education and training, driving innovation, and ensuring that Belgian radiologists remain at the forefront of medical advancement and excellence throughout Europe.

The Young Radiologist Section of the YRS is one of the most dynamic sections, organizing multiple events throughout the year. As we collaborate with new partners every year, we hope to retain the rising trend of creating educational opportunities for radiology residents in Belgium.
