BSR Section Interventional Radiology on-line meeting, Friday 29/01/2021

Dear Colleagues,

We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas (unfortunately in the bubble), and we wish you a happy and healthy 2021.

The next meeting of the BSR Section Interventional Radiology will be unfortunately still an on-line meeting, on Friday, january 29th, 2021. As you have been informed in the previous e-mail, the BSR Section Interventional Radiology changed the Board starting from 2021, with Peter Vanlangenhove and Frank Hammer respectively as president and secretary.

For us the most important purpose of the Section Interventional Radiology meeting, is to give all colleagues of Interventional Radiology (whether young, older, starting or experienced) the opportunity to present their interesting and difficult or complicating cases, and to learn from the discussions and the cases and complications of other colleagues.

Therefor it is so important that all of you participate at the meeting and that you send us your most interesting cases in order to discuss them. The Powerpoint or Keynote presenting the case has to be prepared in English. The presentation itself and the answering of the questions can be done in English or in your native language.

Please send us your proposals for presentations before january 27th, 2021.

Provisional program

19h00-21h00

  • Presentation of the new representatives and the policy: P. Vanlangenhove / Frank Hammer: 10’
  • Fixed topic:  Masterthesis : "Treatment of  Osteoid Osteoma: a retrospective comparison of  CT- guided  laser-ablation and  orthopedic surgical resection .” Simon Claeys (20’)
  • Free topics session: Vascular and non-vascular IR cases (5-10’/ case + 5’ discussion)
  • Planning next data section IR 2021 (5’)

The  final program and Information about the virtual connection to the meeting will be sent one day before the meeting.

Accreditation will be requested when the program is completed.
